A.T. Group was formed in 1982 for the specific purpose of working with public groups, cities, counties, schools, public utilities, and other governmental agencies.
Throughout our 30+ year history as an independent agency, we have successfully filled the need for service in the governmental arena. A.T. Group provides employee benefits programs to over 170 public entity groups across the state of Minnesota.
We are confident in our ability to provide and service a cost effective employee benefits programs for our clients. Working with the public sector in the development and implementation of employee benefits programs has also made us uniquely well very versed in the rules and guidelines these groups must follow relating to continuation laws and other specific state statues.

A.T. Group is located in the North Metro area of Minneapolis, MN. From this location we service cities and counties across the State of Minnesota, from City of Ely in the north, to the City of Willmar in the west, the City of Kasson in the south to a large number of public groups located throughout the state of Minnesota.
The City of Kenyon has used the services of A.T. Group since 2004. They have proven to be a benefit to our group with their expertise on health, dental, life and disability coverage. Not only have they helped with renewals and searching for the best plans, they are always willing to guide us through other medical issues our group has faced.

A.T. Group has been our insurance brokers for health, dental, life, and disability insurance since 2006. Bill and Al provide excellent service for us! One or the other of them is always available to answer my questions. When it’s time to renew our insurance plans, Bill meets with us to explain the changes in rates and coverage, and he offers suggestions for ways to save money or better meet the needs of our employees. Bill also holds open enrollment meetings with our employees and helps us complete enrollment forms. When employees have life change events and need to change their coverage, and when we have employee turnover, Bill facilitates the changes with the insurance carriers. A.T. Group works with other companies who can provide COBRA and flexible spending plan administration for their clients. It’s nice to have those resources available to us. I’m happy to have the A.T. Group working with us.

The City of Chisago and the Lakes Area Police have been using A.T. Group for several years. As our confidence in them grew, we gradually switched over all our insurance needs to them. They are extremely knowledgeable and are up to date on all the changes occurring in health care. Our city does not have a “human resources” department and it is has really lifted a burden off my shoulders to depend on them to handle situations that arise. As icing on the cake, the A.T. From an administrative point of view we are especially pleased with the benefit administration system which relieves city staff from a lot of reporting duties and has a wonderful process for collecting and remitting retired employees’ insurance premiums separately from the payroll process.
